Bill Deakins

Commanding more than 14 years of financial experience, William Deakins serves as Partner at a prominent trading firm and as a mentor to business students. In 1988, William Deakins enrolled in Hofstra University in Long Island, New York. William Deakins focused on business and his high marks regularly secured him a place on the Dean's List. Concurrently, William Deakins supplemented his regular coursework with economics classes taken at Union College in Schenectady. A talented athlete as well as a top student, William Deakins earned distinction on Hofstra's football team as an All American player. In 1991, William Deakins graduated with honors from Hofstra University, obtaining a Bachelor of Business Administration.

Following graduation, William Deakins found employment as a Front Office Liaison at the investment firm Herzog Heine Geduld, Inc., where he received his first exposure to trading and the NASDAQ market. In 1996, William Deakins ascended to the position of Vice President of Trading for Centennial Ventures. Since then, William Deakins has specialized in the mentorship and training of aspiring traders. Some of William Deakins' students have gone on to become successful day traders. Others who seek instruction and advice from William Deakins may go on the Internet and can participate in live, interactive chat rooms. At present, William Deakins serves as Partner at Candlestick Trading Partners, a firm named after the candlestick method of interpreting the daily fluctuations of the stock market.

William Deakins currently resides in Dobbs Ferry, New York, with his wife and four children. In his leisure time, William Deakins participates in outdoor activities, including golfing, playing tennis, and skiing.
